DIY Beauty Ingredients and their Benefits to the Body and Mind
There are a TON of ingredients you can use to make your own beauty products that help benefit your skin and will touch all your senses. I created a little cheat-sheet persay below for those who are interested in making their own bath bombs, or foundation. Using organic ingredients is obviously always best but whatever you can get your hands on works.
This cheat-sheet also brings up a new found method of research I do on all my new beauty products by using EWG Skin Deep. I just type in any ingredient on the back of the product and the EWG Skin Deep database brings up the risk level of that ingredient. Interesting, right?
Naturally antibacterial and antifungal, coconut oil is typically used on the skin for it’s conditioning properties. Smells like cookies, slight sweet aroma.
Containing a complex array of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, rose essential oil has excellent emollient properties for moisturizing dry skin; it also offers antiseptic and astringent properties to treat acneic skin, as well as anti-inflammatory properties that help treat redness and inflammation.
Reduces dark marks and wrinkles, hydrates and lightens skin tone, reduces and prevents wrinkles, best used in sunscreen, clears skin and prevents breakouts.
